SB 1107 -- CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY IN BUCHANAN COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Shields (Schaaf)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 18 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey the Woodson Academy
located in Buchanan County to the St. Joseph School District.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the state no longer needs this
property.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Shields.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
